David Holladay

David joins PrepperCon as this year's keynote speaker.  A true-life primitive living survivalist, David has spent long periods of time without modern day comforts, living only on the bare minimum.  In the Southern Utah and Arizona desert country, he's made a living by collecting and selling rare stones and offering his services as a wilderness guide and survival instructor.  At times, David and his family can be found living in a teepee, eating native desert plants and animals, and only permitting themselves to make fires with friction techniques.  David has found that this type of existence can bring a deeper spiritual connection with nature and life's purpose.  His "abo", aboriginal skills, are in such high demand that the producers of the movie Cast Away sought him out as a technical advisor to make actor Tom Hanks' role in the movie more realistic.  It was even David's creativity that inspired the movie makers to incorporate the volleyball that became Wilson, the personal inanimate friend to Tom Hank's character.  David has provided technical advising to many such Hollywood productions and recently appeared as a TV host and survival expert in the History Channel's No Man's Land.

David will be giving his keynote address, Survival vs. Thrival: What are your reasons for living? on Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 12pm.  He'll also be presenting Staying or Going? on Friday morning at 10:30am. Times are subject to change so make sure you check the signs posted around the conference hall.

Becky is a serial entrepreneur and is always thinking of new businesses, TV/movie ideas, and new places to see in the world.  She's built a successful business around prepping and making prepping cool for women.  She loves speaking to groups and encouraging others to get prepared.  By helping people realize how easy it is, she teaches them prepping doesn't have to be an overwhelming or scary task.

Ben Davidson

Ben is a world-renowned YouTube sensation and director of the Mobile Observatory Project and the

Observing the Frontier conference.  Delivering video news reports 365 days a year, his YouTube channel SuspiciousObservers has over 220,000 subscribers and more than 50 million views.  Ben travels North America educating and promoting interest in the sciences, specifically researching the earth-sun connection and earth's magnetic changes.  He offers a unique insight into some large-scale earth changes that should shape how one 'prepares' for the future.

Ben is appearing at PrepperCon as a guest speaker both Friday evening and Saturday morning.  You don't want to miss his workshop!  Earth Throws a Curveball discusses how the earth is changing in a number of ways that significantly affect how one 'preps' for the day when one would need to be prepared.  The climate is changing in ways that the experts did not foresee.  The sun is changing in a dramatic way.  The earth's magnetic poles are shifting and our magnetic shield is weakening.  We have historical data and accounts of similar events in the past and they spell out a rough near-term future for those living on earth.  Our planet is about to throw us a curveball.  What are the timelines?  What do you need to think about?  This workshop includes audience-interaction opportunities.  Look for Ben's presentation at 5pm on Friday, 300C and 10am on Saturday morning 300C.

John Pease

In the tradition of his grandfather, Alexander Graham Bell, John Pease has been a scientist and inventor for over 50 years. Born and raised on a family farm, John managed it when he was only 13 years while having full blown polio.  His instincts as a naturalist later led him into the military as a survival trainer and medic, being able to sight identify and provide knowledge to nurture a variety of over 25,000 plants.  John's eclectic background includes diversity in such fields as biology, organic and biochemistry, geology, microbiology, horticulture, toxic soil, water and air remediation, zoology, animal husbandry, greenhouse management, hydroponics development and technologies, soil, microbial, and compost enhancement, and much more.  Coupling his out-of-the box thinking with his innate talents as an artist, innovator, thought leader, entrepreneur, and teacher always leave those who have had the opportunity to hear him feeling inspired by his common sense approach to working with nature and always wanting more, whether someone is a novice gardener, farmer, urban grower, or an experienced scientist.

John will be joining John Blatnick from Turboganic My Garden in a Q&A session entitled, "What The Bleep Would You Like To Know About Growing Plants in a Any Climate, Any Soil, or No Soil."  This is an open-ended format where the audience is encouraged to ask their own questions.  Meet in Room 400 on Friday from 12:00-1:00pm.

John Pease will also be sharing an incredible survival story he's never before shared in public in a presentation entitled, "500 Miles to Hell and Back".  John will retell the account of leading a platoon of soldiers during the the Vientam Era through a 500-mile ordeal on foot for 100 days through the dense jungles and unforgiving mountains of Brazil.  Parachuting under the cover of darkess, the 30 men were told they were on a training mission.   Trekking through physically and politically hostile territory without any supplies, communications, or maps, and armed only with a machete, a nylon bag, and a hammock, plus their comradery and will to survive, the men tried to make sense of why they were really abandoned.  In the end, only half of them eventually returned home.  John will share this true- life ultimate survivor story on Saturday at 3:30-4:30pm in Room 400.
