WDA Joins PrepperCon to create the most unique and exciting Preparedness and Survival Conference.

PREPPERCON is pleased to announce the sponsorship/partnership with the World Disaster Alliance.

Founded in 1999, the World Disaster Alliance is a private independent initiative supported (to date) by more than $1.5 million in volunteer donated human and financial resources. The Executive Council of the Disaster Alliance (also known as the WDA) has determined following the events of 9/11 and the recent Southeast Asian earthquake and tsunami, that we must step forward in a more participative, aggressive and supportive role in global events. We have gathered a core of private citizens willing to leave career paths, retirement and/or other daily priorities to serve with the WDA. We are now in search of financial support to bring to service more than twenty (20) innovative life-saving initiatives we’ve designed/engineered, prototyped, tested and prepared for launch (in six years and 30,000 hours of volunteer effort).

They are a unique private *non-profit organization committed to globally saving lives and property from the ravages of natural and man-impacted disasters. They do so by supplying innovative conceptual and analysis tools and unquestionably the most complete and meaningful practical knowledge available. WDA is a “Think and Action Tank” with an activist attitude for positive change, and repetitively answering the question, “How can the World Disaster Alliance help make disaster response and humanitarian actions more effective, efficient and ultimately successful?” WDA considers their role as supportive staff members to all organizations and individuals who seek to answer the same question. With an intent is to provide organizations and individuals “best practice” solutions to the assessment, coordination, communication and distribution components of a successful disaster relief response.

After seeing the unique approach PrepperCon is making toward helping the world be ready for whatever may come, the WDA knew that they must get involved. As Partners and Sponsors WDA has and will continue to donate manpower, educational resources and energy to PrepperCon’s mission of to “encourage and facilitate self-reliance and emergency preparedness by providing experiential training, education, and one-stop shopping for survival products and services. Individual preparedness strengthens the ability of families and communities to cope under trying circumstances. The resources available at PrepperCon build a foundation which promotes peace-of-mind when disaster strikes.”
